Monsters, Inc's New Tactics

-
The good news is that we are slowly starting to wake up to the real threat of radical islam. The Glenn Beck special and, of course, the fantastic "Obsession" are two good examples of this. We have a long, long way to go, though.

Here is a chilling column that shows us more of the face of this godless monster that we face. I have an eleven year old girl... and so this definitely hit me.

[[ It was only a matter of time. Depraved Palestinians first sent young adult men wearing explosives to blow themselves up on Israeli buses and in pizza parlors. Then came the phenomenon of young women doing the same. Now a grandmother has chosen this fiendish way of death.

Fatma Omar An-Najar was a mother of nine and grandmother of more than 30. Her suicide in the Gaza Strip lightly injured three Israeli soldiers, so she failed to take "infidels" with her. But that is of little comfort. The use of a grandmother means more horror is coming.

With teenagers as young as 16 already blowing themselves up, children are next in line to become "martyrs."
]]

I didn't excerpt the interview with the two little girls... please go and read the whole thing... and, for God's sake, please share this stuff with everyone you can.

"Holy" Outrage

-
I found a great definition for "Crocodile Tears" at World Wide Words.

"To weep crocodile tears is to pretend a sorrow that one doesn’t in fact feel, to create a hypocritical show of emotion. The idea comes from the ancient belief that crocodiles weep while luring or devouring their prey."

What does this have to do with anything, you ask? Well, the term came to mind (as it often does) when I was reading of the latest muslim angst over the "flying imams."

Janet Levy at Front Page takes a close look at this case and finds that this was likely a staged event. That may sound cynical and "racist" to many sensitive people out there... but not so much if you actually use your brain and read the facts of the case.

[[ At the Minneapolis airport prior to the Thanksgiving holiday on Tuesday, Nov. 21, six imams who had been attending a conference of the North American Imams Federation were handcuffed and removed from U.S. Airways Flight 300 bound for Phoenix. The clerics were escorted off the plane at the request of the pilot after passengers expressed concern about the imams’ actions in the Minneapolis-St. Paul terminal and on the plane.

According to airport spokesman Paul Hogan, the imams gathered in the boarding gate area and were “praying loudly and spouting some kind of anti-U.S. rhetoric regarding the war in Iraq and Saddam Hussein.” Three of the imams had one-way tickets and no checked luggage.

After boarding the plane, the imams sat alone in different sections of the plane, reminiscent of 9-11 hijacker tactics. Once on board, all six men requested seatbelt extensions that they clearly did not need.
]]

Look, to any rational person, these men were behaving in a way that was far outside the norm... and in a way that we have come to associate with a certain kind of person (i.e., a terrorist). That is the truth of the matter... and no amount of multi-cultural B.S. can change it.

Try this one:

[[ muslim spokesmen dubbed the response a police action and claimed the imams were singled out for religious and ethnic reasons as part of a pervasive “flying while Muslim” mindset. ICT (islamic Center of Tucson) imam Shahin ignored the loud, anti-U.S. rhetoric expressed by the imams and insisted they were simply praying. He criticized America, saying, “If up to now they don’t know about prayers, this is a real problem.” ]]

The Minneapolis Six Sabotage Airline Security

Here is probably the best breakdown of the whole thing that I've seen... from the Washington Times:

How The imams Terrorized An Airliner

Of course, as this washington post article shows, the enlightened "religious leaders" of the world are not happy with this situation. Oh, no... not happy at all.

[[ The religious leaders called for an end to racial profiling, saying it was unacceptable in the United States.

"These things are troubling to us," said Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation.
]]

Oh, it is "troubling" to you, is it, Mahdi? And you, Mr. imam Shahin... it is a real problem for you that we Americans "don't know about prayers"? Well, allow me to clear up this whole thing for you.

What is "troubling" to us is when muslim fanatics murder and destroy everyone and everything they possibly can. Prayers? Actually, we do know about prayers... and that is precisely the problem. We know only too well about your muslim "prayers," because we have seen and heard them many, many times. Like when the planes were about to be crashed into the buildings and the ground... and as your fellow muslims were hacking off the head of Nick Berg. Oh, yes... we have plenty of recent experience with those "prayers," and so you'll have to pardon our somewhat Pavlovian response to them... since murder and mayhem usually follow them directly.

-

So, It's Not Just Us

-
TJ and I have noticed, with some alarm, that our young'uns have been saddled with much more homework than we ever had... or even than our two older ones ever had. It is, apparently, much more prevelant than we thought.

Here is a good article on the subject... and I plan to research the books they talk about.

[[ The country's top homework scholar, Duke University's Harris Cooper, author of "The Battle over Homework: Common Ground for Administrators, Teachers, and Parents" (Corwin), analyzed nearly 200 studies and concluded that homework does not measurably improve academic achievement for children in grade school. He also found that for high school students in particular, performance diminished after two hours of homework.

"Kids are not vending machines," Mr. Kohn said. "You don't put in more homework and have more learning come out the other end. Your instincts might tell you otherwise, but the research is overwhelmingly conclusive."

It might not be clear what sweeping educational policies will best serve the majority of American children. But it is decidedly clear that children being raised in the privileged world of private, competitive schools are being overworked each night, especially in the early grades, when there is hardly any proof of any academic benefit.

"Parents need to reclaim their family time at night," Mr. Kohn said. "If teachers can make a case that most children in their class can benefit from an assignment, well great. But that's very different from assuming that all homework, regardless of it content, is valuable."

"These selective schools are all about sweat and tears instead of creating a love of learning," he continued. "Saddling children with homework does one thing: It kills the love of learning."
]]

Honestly, I believe that part of it is a mask to hide the incompetence of many teachers nowadays. They think that giving the kids lots of homework will make parents think that much learning is occurring and the teacher is serious about academics. Well, the opposite holds true for me. I think it is a poor teacher who sends the student out with busy work, instead of actually teaching.

Silly People...

-
...don't they know that Christmas is no place for a movie about the Nativity?

(Editor's Note: I will adopt my heavy-sarcasm voice for this one.)

[[ CHICAGO (AP) - A public Christmas festival is no place for the Christmas story, the city says. Officials have asked organizers of a downtown Christmas festival, the German Christkindlmarket, to reconsider using a movie studio as a sponsor because it is worried ads for its film "The Nativity Story" might offend non-Christians.

New Line Cinema, which said it was dropped, had planned to play a loop of the new film on televisions at the event. The decision had both the studio and a prominent Christian group shaking their heads.

"The last time I checked, the first six letters of Christmas still spell out Christ," said Paul Braoudakis, spokesman for the Barrington, Ill.-based Willow Creek Association, a group of more than 11,000 churches of various denominations. "It's tantamount to celebrating Lincoln's birthday without talking about Abraham Lincoln."
]]

Yeah... well, you see, that is exactly what the sensitive multi-cultural paradise we now live in is all about. I know it's hard to understand... but we must all learn to live with it. It really is for the best.

I know that even the representative from the movie studio doesn't get it... but that just means she needs more sensitivity training, right? I mean, just look at what she had to say:

[[ An executive vice president with New Line Cinema, Christina Kounelias, said the studio's plan to spend $12,000 in Chicago was part of an advertising campaign around the country. Kounelias said that as far as she knew, the Chicago festival was the only instance where the studio was turned down.

Kounelias said she finds it hard to believe that non-Christians who attended something called Christkindlmarket would be surprised or offended by the presence of posters, brochures and other advertisements of the movie.

"One would assume that if (people) were to go to Christkindlmarket, they'd know it is about Christmas," she said.
]]

Listen, Ms. Kounelias, that is exactly the kind of thinking that turned us into a hateful, racist country. We need to stop "assuming" that people are okay with this "Christmas" thing... because there is a solid fraction of one percent of people who are not... and we must stop alienating and disenfranchising them!

(Sarcasm off.)

Oh... the Christmas season is upon us and we have new far-left overlords... let the games begin.

Reality Is Scary

-
Want to rationally discuss islam and the whole "religion of peace" concept? How on Earth can we possibly do that when political correctness is rampant? Even the Glenn Beck special we all watched recently had to end with the cliched "but we all know it is just a tiny minority of extremists" mantra.

Here is Amil Imani with a hard look at the reality of islam. He discussed the situation in Iraq, as well as many other islamic "hot spots." It is definitely not suffering from political correctness. It is simply correct. To wit:

[[ These are the conditions on the ground wherever Islam rules. Violence of all forms is endemic to Islam and is not confined to any fringes. Islam itself is the fringe. A fringe that is oppressive, hateful of others and violent to the core.

The world must confront Islam and demand that it mends its ways in conformity with the Bill of Rights, where every man, woman, and child is fully entitled to equal treatment under the law, irrespective of any and all considerations.
]]

Please read it all and share it. I believe we are getting somewhere with making people aware of this issue... and we musn't rest or stop discussing it until the West wakes the hell up.

Mr. O'Reilly often does/says things that upset me... I sometimes believe him to be disengenuous and concerned only with appearing to be "in the middle."

Reverse Racism...

-
...is still racism.

Here we see moonbattish moral equivalency at its finest, as this writer compares "Kramer's" use of a racial slur to O.J. Simpson's circus of depravity.

She magnanimously admits that the O.J. thing was "tasteless," but just in case you think she is actually sane, she also explains her stance on the bigger picture of O.J.'s guilt or innocence. She tells us that she is an "... O.J. neutralist..." and "... to this day, I'm not sure whether he did it..."

Anyone... and I mean ANYONE... who says something like that is not to be taken seriously at all. Sorry, lady... you're a dishonest, race-baiting idiot... and you remain a big part of the problem.

This One Would Probably...

-
...incite me to near violence, if it were my child. Heck, I'm pretty worked up about it just hearing about other people's kids being put through it.

Via Michelle Malkin: A moonbat teacher has decided to teach the little 3rd graders the unvarnished truth about Thanksgiving...

[[ Teacher Bill Morgan walks into his third-grade class wearing a black Pilgrim hat made of construction paper and begins snatching up pencils, backpacks and glue sticks from his pupils. He tells them the items now belong to him because he "discovered" them. The reaction is exactly what Morgan expects: The kids get angry and want their things back. ]]

He is, of course, not alone. There are thousands of anti-American, socialist teachers who have been, for years and years now, systematically indoctrinating children to hate their own country.

I almost posted this one yesterday, but I just couldn't do it. I have to post it now, though, because it is SO important to remind everyone of what we're up against.

I for one am thankful that I wasn't raised that way... and I'd like to thank all of my teachers for helping me to understand and love my country with a fierce passion.

Gratitude

-

O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
For His loving kindness is everlasting.

-1 Chronicles 16:34

I have learned that it feels absolutely superb to be grateful. I pity ingrateful people... I really do. Knowing that someone did something for you... and appreciating it... that is what being alive is all about.

I am grateful to many, many people... but mostly to God. This day, I will keep reminding myself of that all day long.

Happy Thanksgiving to all... especially the moonbats- I truly want them to learn to be thankful to God for our country and everything. (Yes, I know, I know... but I won't be a cynic today).

How Does This Make You Feel?

-
It makes me feel like throwing up. It is just more meaningless B.S. from the john kerry school of life. Just look at the opening paragraph:

[[ Rude immigration officials and visa delays keep millions of foreign visitors away from the United States, hurt the country's already battered image, and cost the U.S. billions of dollars in lost revenue, according to an advocacy group formed to push for a better system. ]]

Here's a tip from me to you: when you see the word's "the country's already battered image" in what purports to be a news article, you can pretty much stop reading right there.

If you, out of morbid curiosity, continue reading and then see that a "global survey" was done... well, now you know that you should stop.

Okay, so you keep reading in spite of the warnings... and now you see that:

[[ More than half of the travelers surveyed said U.S. immigration officials were rude and two-thirds said they feared they would be detained on arriving in the United States for a simple mistake in their paperwork or for saying the wrong thing to an immigration official. ]]

Get that? This "global survey" says that TWO-THIRDS of foreign travelers are afraid that they will be sent to Gitmo for a typo in their paperwork!! My God, we're evil!!

It's all because of our incorrect reaction to September 11th, you see. We should have thrown open our borders and admitted that the whole thing was our fault. Perceiving anyone as a threat has caused the whole world to hate and fear us.

U.S. Is Most Unfriendly Country To Visitors, Survey Says

Yeah... we're so "unfriendly" and evil that no one wants to come here anymore... right? Hmmmm... someone forgot to tell that to the millions and millions of people literally dying to immigrate here to this evil place.

No excerpts here. Amir Taheri has written a very thorough column on the possibilities and problems with the various answers people have for the war in Iraq.

The problem is, Mr. Taheri is using logic and facts... and that will render his argument invalid to the liberal throngs who now control our country's fate. What he apparently fails to see is that, in modern America, we are so weak and so spoiled that even our wars must be remote controlled and easy... no one wants to hear that it is actually a WAR and that we have to fight long and hard to win it.

Scurvy, Sorry, Wretched Cretins

-
I've totally run out of disgust for the craven, despicable, pieces of human debris known as San Francisco politicians. They have hit bottom so many times before... but this one is really special.

Think I'm exaggerating? Read on...

[[ After 90 years in San Francisco high schools, the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps must go, the San Francisco school board decided Tuesday night.

The board voted 4-2 to eliminate the popular program, phasing it out over two years.

...

The board's decision was loudly applauded by opponents of the program.

Their position was summed up by a former teacher, Nancy Mancias, who said, "We need to teach a curriculum of peace.''

...

Opponents said the armed forces should have no place in public schools, and the military's discriminatory stance on gays makes the presence of JROTC unacceptable.

"We don't want the military ruining our civilian institutions," said Sandra Schwartz, of the American Friends Service Committee, an organization actively opposing JROTC nationwide. "In a healthy democracy ... you contain the military. You must contain the military."
]]

"Ruining" our civilian institutions... you must "contain" the military... my Lord... that says a lot, doesn't it?

How far gone left... how completely anti-American does something have to be for San Francisco's ultra-liberal mayor to be against it?

[[ Earlier, Mayor Gavin Newsom weighed in on the debate, chastising the board for the effort to eliminate JROTC.

"The move sends the wrong message," he said. "It's important for the city not to be identified with disrespecting the sacrifice of men and women in uniform."

Newsom also said he believed the vote would push more city residents away from the public schools.

"You think this is going to help keep families in San Francisco?" the mayor added. "No. It's going to hurt."
]]

Wowie! ...and yet, people still support this city because it is beautiful... the U.S. Government still supports this city... still has conferences and other events there. Corporate America does the same.

They obviously want nothing to do with America... they obviously want to be pariahs. Can we all please oblige them? I, for one, will not give them one more tourist dime.

A Warrior's Words

-
Here is a Marine delivering a severe verbal slap-down to the anti's. I'm going to post the whole letter here... it's that good:

[[ Hold a sign, say some chants, post some fliers, give biased statistics, have a protest, hold a flag upside down and then go home to sleep safe in your bed.

Is that courage, bravery or compassion?

Train for months, say goodbye to family and friends, go to war and risk your life for others, sleep on the floor in the cold and the heat. This is courage.

Spend months patrolling the streets your comrades have given their lives on, and be prepared to give your own if the need arises day after day. This is bravery.

Give a poor family your last canteen of water, carry a lucky stuffed animal on your gear and give it to a small child who has nothing, lay down your life for another nation's freedom and independence. This is true compassion.

Standing atop the ranks of bravery, courage and compassion is the U.S. servicemen and women. However, another "group" would have you believe that they uphold these same ideals.

Anti-war groups, I'm talking about you.

Sure I know you have the right to protest. Those are rights given by the Constitution of the United States, and those are the rights that the military fights to protect.

But at what cost is your "hippi-istic" fun damaging our nation? I often hear the line, that by protesting you're "doing something for our country."

Yes, the protestors are exercising an important right, but what are they doing for the troops that allow them to safely protest?

Nothing, unless you consider alienating them, breaking their moral and attempting to turn the nation against them, as "doing something for them."

It's absolutely true that unjust war is terrible, and we shouldn't fight wars for imperialistic reasons. But that has nothing to do with the importance of a free, liberated and stable Iraq.

Why don't the protestors of the war just come out and say, "I don't want to spend my money to let people thousands of miles away be free and safe."

That's what I fought for in Iraq, freedom and stability. Have the protestors all looked into the eyes of a real live Iraqi child that is growing up with nothing? A small child who's parents were friendly to American military personnel, a small child who's parents will probably be slaughtered because of their friendliness, if our troops leave now.

War protestors forget that family.

Yeah, "no war for oil" and "books not bombs" are great slogans, but they are doing nothing and mean nothing in a war that is about stability, justice and freedom.

Do you think that the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines want to have to go to war?

Of course we don't. But when we are needed, we go willingly.

I know our purpose in this war, and now I'm happy to know that I have an important job in this world.

Last year I was patrolling in a medium sized city in western Iraq in the middle of the night. The patrol was halted after an improvised explosive device was detonated by insurgents several streets away. W knocked on a door, and along with some members of my team, we were invited into a small Iraqi house. Once inside, I saw a small girl sitting on the floor shyly playing with an old ragged stuffed animal and watching myself and the other Marines who were talking with her father.

With nothing readily available to give the cute little child, I put my superstitions aside I asked my friend to cut the zip ties off of a stuffed animal that I had carried for luck within my gear the entire deployment. I walked over and handed it to her and said, "as-salamualaikum" ("peace be upon you") she giggled and took the stuffed animal saying shyly "salam" ("peace"). I told her my name, which she pronounced "Jux-ton," then she ran off to play and I walked back to the conversation.

Moments later the young girl reappeared dragging a chair that was bigger than she was. Motioning for me to sit down, she ran to the icebox and brought me a cup of cold water, and a small piece of bread.

I sat in the chair enjoying the water and bread, and for around five minutes I watched her playing with the stuffed squirrel in the other room. It was then time to saddle back up and continue on the patrol. As I left she waved shyly and said "thank you Jux-ton," gave me a thumbs-up and hugged her new stuffed animal, before running to watch me leave out the front gates. When I got back onto the deserted street and continued the patrol, I knew exactly why I was in Iraq.

I can never turn my back on those people, and I can only pray that our nation won't turn its back on those who need our help, despite the small, insignificant, disrespectful groups who will never understand our military's mission, our courage, our bravery and most importantly our compassion.

The next time the need arises for an anti-war club to hold an American flag upside down as a "distress signal," maybe they should think of the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi people that the United States is trying to help who are in distress. Not to mention the disgrace they cause to the thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines whose coffins were covered by Old Glory.

God Bless the future of Iraq, and God Bless America.

Why Veterans Day Is Important

-
[[ In April 2004, {Marine Corporal Jason} Dunham was leading a patrol in an Iraqi town near the Syrian border when the patrol stopped a convoy of cars leaving the scene of an attack on a Marine convoy, according to military and media accounts of the action.

An occupant of one of the cars attacked Dunham and the two fought hand to hand. As they fought, Dunham yelled to fellow Marines, "No, no watch his hand." The attacker then dropped a grenade and Dunham hurled himself on top of it, using his helmet to try to blunt the force of the blast.

Still, Dunham was critically wounded in the explosion and died eight days later at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland.

The Power Party's Failed Fruit

-
I could say things like "the sins of the father..." or "you reap what you sow..." but that would connotate "God stuff," and we know that will only make the liberals more hateful and angry.

Instead, I'll just post this very telling little story:

[[ The adult sons of an Idaho state senator are in hot water with authorities in Idaho's capital city after two American flags dedicated to soldiers killed in Iraq were vandalized.

Twenty-four-year-old Michael Burkett was arrested and 22-year-old Thomas Burkett was cited for allegedly damaging flags and flagpoles on the grounds of the Idaho Capitol building this morning.

Police say Michael Burkett also resisted and obstructed officers.

Boise Police say one flag pole had been bent so the flag was lying on the ground, the other had been pulled from the ground.

Their father is Boise Senator Mike Burkett, a Democrat facing Republican Charles Seldon in Tuesday's election.

Senator Burkett says he thinks his sons are innocent, while the boys' mother, Sharon Burkett, says the entire event was a "misunderstanding."

I posted the whole thing, but here's the link so you can share.

Here is what passes for intelligent commentary at the SF Chronicle. It is an imbecilic piece written by a smug little moonbat who fancies himself quite the smooth writer. Apparently, he also thinks he is funny... or something... I guess. Anyway, he is actually nothing more than a rebellious child trying- with words- to hurt those annoying, responsible adults who keep trying to make him do the right thing.

In other words, he is a very typical liberal.

-

Waking Up Conservatives

-
Here's Jed Babbins discussing modern American Conservatism. It is worth a read... especially this part:

[[ So what's left of Conservatism? Everything Ronald Reagan appealed to is still there. It could revert to a "silent majority" because no Republican leader has dedicated himself to it and worked to unify it. Conservatives, unlike liberals, adhere to a set of principles: (1) A strong America, acting in its own interests, in foreign affairs and without waiting for the UN to give us permission. They want to define the war we're in clearly, aim whatever it takes to defeat the enemy, and restore whatever level of pre-9-11 peace can be achieved; (2) preservation of America's Constitution, religious freedom and culture (which means refusing to compromise on things such as illegal immigration, late-term abortion, and phony "rights" which serve to separate Americans from their responsibilities of citizenship); (3) fiscal responsibility, tax cuts and commensurate cuts in the size of government and government spending.

There's a conservative agenda we can re-unify around. We need a leader to rally around and it's up to us to test the applicants. Let no faux-conservatives apply.
]]

That about sums up my position- at least in a generic sense. I strongly believe that most Americans feel the same way. It seems to be just a matter of verbalizing it and letting people get involved in following a movement that they honestly believe in. Mr. Babbin is correct in saying that it will take a real leader to get us there. I'm not sure who it is... maybe Newt... but I hope he/she comes along soon.

Yep, It's True...

-
...those dumocrats are for the little guy. They are not like the big-money, rich Republicans. Nope. They are the party of the regular people, all the way! In fact, if you see a story about a Republican who happens to have money, it will DEFINITELY say "rich Republican" John Smith. If a story is on a democrat with lots of money, it will DEFINITELY say "democrat" john smith. That is just the journalistic truth of the matter.

Hmmm...

murtha Outspends Irey Five To One In Race

Nice. Here's Star Parker with more on the subject of "poor" democrats.

[[ Despite popular stereotypes of Republicans as the party of the rich and Democrats as the party of the working class, the wealthiest member of the Senate (John Kerry of Massachusetts) and the wealthiest member of the House (Jane Harman of California) are both Democrats. Of the top six wealthiest senators, five are Democrats. ]]

-

Non-Standard Standards

-
We all know that there are lots of double standards in this politically correct, multi-cultural world... we see them everyday.

Shocking still, though, to see it summed up so nicely as it is in this column.

[[ Some cynics insist that there are no longer standards in our society. I disagree. We have plenty of standards, but they’re double standards. For instance, there’s one for blacks and one for whites, one for Christians and another for Muslims and atheists, one for conservatives and one for liberals. ]]

File this one under "shake your head in disgust"... because that is what you will do.

All you really need to see is the headline... and the scare-quotes.

US Forces Kill Around 13 'Terrorists'

Now, go and read the short article. It is a veritable clinic on how to write a biased piece of "journalism." The only time they call the monsters "terrorists" is when it is in a quote from a U.S. military person. The rest of the time, they are called "suspects" and "militants" who are opposing the evil occupation.

A few years ago, this would have been staggering to me... not so much anymore. How sad is that?

Compare And Contrast

-
I really should have caught and posted this one months ago.

[[ War-torn Iraq has about 26 million residents, a peaceful California perhaps now 35 million. The former is a violent and impoverished landscape, the latter said to be paradise on Earth. But how you envision either place to some degree depends on the eye of the beholder and is predicated on what the daily media appear to make of each.

As a fifth-generation Californian, I deeply love this state, but still imagine what the reaction would be if the world awoke each morning to be told that once again there were six more murders, 27 rapes, 38 arsons, 180 robberies, and 360 instances of assault in California — yesterday, today, tomorrow, and every day. I wonder if the headlines would scream about “Nearly 200 poor Californians butchered again this month!”

How about a monthly media dose of “600 women raped in February alone!” Or try, “Over 600 violent robberies and assaults in March, with no end in sight!” Those do not even make up all of the state’s yearly 200,000 violent acts that law enforcement knows about.
]]

The point Professor Hanson is making is a vital one. He is not making light of our troubles in Iraq... not at all. Instead, he is showing that the spin the media/liberal machine has put on Iraq has made the awful into something much worse. They have portrayed it as devoid of any good or purpose at all.

To me, war is an evil, evil, evil thing. I cringe inside and part of me dies every time I see or hear of another casualty. In fact, I don't know how I would be able to go on if I didn't also see the reason for the war... and the good that is happening, along with the bad, in Iraq.

How, then, can I blame ordinary, ignorant Americans of turning against this war? The only picture the media and the democrats will show them is the bad picture... the picture that makes me cringe and die inside. No one could be expected to continue to support something that bad. In fact, World War II would have been lost early on if the media had behaved as they are now. My God, we lost over one thousand Marines in seventy-two hours at Tarawa alone, for example.

Anyway, please read it all here:

Possibly The Final Word

-
Okay, I'm not going to promise to stop with the john kerry stuff... but I will try... after this piece.

Here is some very, very real and very, very righteous umbrage from the father of a fallen soldier. He very eloquently takes kerry to the woodshed... but he also takes us all on a short journey into the truth of this matter. This man, and others like him, are the ones we should all be listening to. He understands the sacrifice and the true nature of this war and the people who are fighting it.

I won't excerpt... please, please read it all and share.

Shame On Him

God bless this man and the soul of his son.

-

Stupid Is As kerry Does

-
I have avoided posting a lot of stuff on the john kerry (he served in Vietnam, by the way) issue... it sort of speaks for itself. Here, though, is a great look by Tim Kane at the worldview of the DFL.

[[ Sen. John Kerry’s comment to college students in California that without education, “you get stuck in Iraq” was not really a joke, botched or otherwise, but neither is the furor over the senator’s comment entirely fair. This line of thinking did not begin with Kerry, and the sentiment is not just a one-time gaffe made by a single individual. Rather, Kerry’s slip-up reveals a cornerstone of the left’s worldview: that soldiers are stupid.

Although rarely expressed so boldly, liberals’ beliefs that young soldiers are kids, not adults, and victims instead of volunteers has been apparent for decades. Rather than acknowledge that the hundreds of thousands of American adults who enlist are intelligent, and intelligently choose to serve as warriors, the Left has repeatedly characterized the uniformed service as a burden foisted on the less fortunate and less intelligent.
]]

Further into the column, he also sets the record straight on the issue of the "poor, stupid, oppressed" soldier.

Stupid Soldiers

-

Evil Cowards

-
It is no surprise that the islamofascists are craven cowards... that is obvious in everything they do. What is most surprising is that cnn would carry this story.

[[ Palestinian militants who had been in a standoff with Israeli soldiers escaped Friday, many of them slipping away in a crowd of women who had come to protest the Israeli action.

The gunmen had been holed up in a northern Gaza mosque for hours mingling with a crowd of Palestinian women who had formed a human shield outside, the Israel Defense Forces said. Palestinian sources said some of the militants had put on women's clothes.
]]

"Human shield." Nice.

I'm a bit confused, though... didn't hamas recently "defeat" and "humiliate" Israel? If so... and if Israel is so "weak" and easily defeated... then why on Earth would these brave "fighters" have to hide behind women? Man, that's a real head-scratcher.

Gaza Gunmen Flee Hidden Among Protesting Women

Yellow-bellied, snivelling, weak cowards. Oh, and, of course, "evil."

[[ "Where's Nancy?"

The woman who would be speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has oddly stayed out of the national spotlight in the week leading up to the big vote.

The high profile, potentially history-making democrat has turned dramatically low-key.

The last photo of vanishing Pelosi on the wires was from an October 21 fundraiser.

And since Pelosi appeared on the October 22 broadcast of 60 MINUTES, national TV hits have been nonexistent.

Hypocrites R Them

-
Same old story. dumocrats accuse Republicans of "disenfranchising" voters. They continually spread the word about how the evil Conservatives are taking away the right of the people to vote.

As you all know, what they mean is that Republicans think that only legal U.S. citizens (non-felons) should be able to vote... you know, like the law says.

We hear about how the liberals have hundred, maybe thousands, of lawyers ready to take all the election results to court if they lose... and on... and on.

Anyway, here's another story about how the dumocrats are crying foul on Republicans trying to enforce voting laws.

Md. Democrats Say GOP Plans to Block Voters

No one should try to stop ANYONE from voting seems to be their message. Actually, that IS their message... in that story, anyway.

They do change their tone a bit, though, when the voters in question are not illegal aliens or convicted felons... oh, yes, they change their tone when the voters are stupid military people.

democrat Questions Military Email Ballots

Disgusting hypocrisy. Business as usual for the dumocrat party.

God help us if they win.

-

VDH Spells It Out

-
T R U T H.

That is what this man always delivers.

[[ The most frightening aspect of the present war is how easily our pre-modern enemies from the Middle East have brought a stunned postmodern world back into the Dark Ages.

Students of history are sickened when they read of the long-ago, gruesome practice of beheading. How brutal were those societies that chopped off the heads of Cicero, Sir Thomas More and Marie Antoinette. And how lucky we thought we were to have evolved from such elemental barbarity.

...

Second, the Enlightenment is not always lost on the battlefield. It can be surrendered through either fear or indifference as well. Westerners fearful of terrorist reprisals themselves shut down a production of a Mozart opera in Berlin deemed offensive to Muslims. Few came to the aid of a Salman Rushdie or Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh when their unpopular expression earned death threats from Islamists. Van Gogh, of course, was ultimately killed.

The Goths and Vandals did not sack Rome solely through the power of their hordes; they also relied on the paralysis of Roman elites who no longer knew what it was to be Roman — much less whether it was any better than the alternative.

Third, civilization is forfeited with a whimper, not a bang. Insidiously, we have allowed radical Islamists to redefine the primordial into the not-so-bad. Perhaps women in head-to-toe burkas in Europe prefer them? Maybe that crass German opera was just too over the top after all? Aren't both parties equally to blame in the Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan wars?
]]

Here's all of it:

The Dark Ages

Someday, people will listen to him... and I hope and pray it will be before it was too late.

-

The Defense Rests

-
What else has to be said? The voice of our enemy is very, very clear.

[[ Everybody has an opinion about next Tuesday's midterm congressional election in the U.S. – including senior terrorist leaders interviewed by WND who say they hope Americans sweep the Democrats into power because of the party's position on withdrawing from Iraq, a move, as they see it, that ensures victory for the worldwide Islamic resistance.

The terrorists told WorldNetDaily an electoral win for the Democrats would prove to them Americans are "tired."

They rejected statements from some prominent Democrats in the U.S. that a withdrawal from Iraq would end the insurgency, explaining an evacuation would prove resistance works and would compel jihadists to continue fighting until America is destroyed.

They said a withdrawal would also embolden their own terror groups to enhance "resistance" against Israel.

"Of course Americans should vote Democrat," Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, told WND.

This was a small excerpt. The rest is vital reading.

Strong Words

-
Wow. I wonder if the President will read this?

[[ Dear Mr. President, I am writing to you because I am afraid. I have been closely following the rhetoric of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over the past few months, and I want you to know that I am gripped with a sense of fear.

I fear for the future of Israel and for that of the entire Jewish people, as the would-be Hitler of Persia readies to do battle against us with the most horrific of weapons.

I fear for the future of the West, because outside of Washington, few and far between are the leaders with the common sense and courage to stand up to the Tyrant of Teheran.

And I fear for the future of the world, because if Iran's fundamentalists get their hands on a nuclear weapon, it will only be a matter of time before their extremist allies abroad become similarly armed.

Hence, I am writing to you because I am convinced that you alone understand and appreciate the gravity of the current situation, and I pray in my heart that you will not let it stand.

I appeal to you now, not as a political analyst nor as a newspaper columnist, but as one man of faith to another: Please strike Iran hard with military force, and dismantle its nuclear weapons program, before it is too late.
]]

That is not all of it... please go and read the rest. It is very intense and... disturbingly stirring.

Judicial Activism Is Alive And Well

-
Whenever the voice of the people threatens liberal values, you can count on the judges to get involved.

To wit:

[[ A federal judge on Tuesday blocked the city of Hazleton from enforcing a pair of ordinances targeting illegal immigrants, just hours before the measures were to go into effect.

The measures, approved by the City Council last month, would have imposed fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants and denied business permits to companies that give them jobs. They also would have required tenants to register with City Hall and pay for a rental permit.

U.S. District Judge James Munley ruled that landlords, tenants and businesses that cater to Hispanics faced "irreparable harm" from the laws and issued a temporary restraining order blocking their enforcement.
]]

Judge Blocks People's Voice

In case you need it, here's another reason why Americans are F E D U P with illegal immigration.

12-Year-Old Baby Sitter Fights Off Naked Intruder In N.Y.

How is this related to illegal immigration, you ask? Well, this headline (like most of them in the media) fails to mention that the "naked intruder" was an illegal alien.
