Black Helicopters? What Black Helicopters?

-
If you do not believe that the liberal agenda is aimed squarely at controlling every bit of our lives and taking our money for their causes through taxes and schemes of all kinds, then this should help you come out of your denial.

[[ BRUSSELS, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - The government of Belgium's French-speaking region of Wallonia, which has a population of about 4 million, has approved a tax on barbequing, local media reported.

Experts said that between 50 and 100 grams of CO2, a so-called greenhouse gas, is emitted during barbequing. Beginning June 2007, residents of Wallonia will have to pay 20 euros for a grilling session.

The local authorities plan to monitor compliance with the new tax legislation from helicopters, whose thermal sensors will detect burning grills.

Scientists believe CO2 emissions are a major cause of global warming
. ]]

Please notice the casual closing statement. Not "some scientists believe..." No. It is just "scientists believe..."

Right... all of them agree with you... got it.

And now, let us step into the hypocrisy of it all, shall we? Did you take note of the fact that it is not being made illegal to barbeque... oh, no... but, if you want to do it, you will PAY. There is an amazing amount of simple truth in just that one thing.... "Follow the money," the wise man once said.

Thermal Sensors To Catch Rogue BBQ'ers

Also, please remember that almost everything that the pioneer liberals in Europe do, our own moonbats eventually try to emulate. That is a fact and there is absolutely no disputing it, by the way.

***** UPDATE *****

Looks like it might have been an April Fool's Day joke... and a good one, at that, if it was. I found it quite believeable.

And how many tons of greenhouse gasses are the helos going to contribute on a daily basis?!?!? They couldn't just slap a tax on the propane and charcoal instead?!?!? Even for a Eurocrat, this is remarkably dumb. But don't worry, I don't think it could ever happen here --- too many people would remit the fees in copper jacketed lead instead of cash ... which might be a pretty fair trade, at that ... :-)

The real joke is that this was believeable to us, because we have learned the hard way to put nothing past the liberals!
