No, But Seriously...

-
I suppose one could say that this tradition is a good sign that some people can put aside their politics for a civilized dinner. A cynic, of course, would ask how anyone could sit down with people who are siding with our enemy and trying to get our military personnel killed for political power.

Anyway... Dubya had a pretty good joke writer-- a couple of these are very funny.

Thanks to TJ for the tip on this.

Well, you'll notice that Dubya always comes out of these dinners having proved his ability to laugh at himself. It makes a great contrast with his opponents, and makes him much more likeable, which is probably why he keeps doing it. :-)

I agree with that... he has always seemed to me to want very much to get along with everyone. That is a very strong and important part of who he is.

Still... how do you keep from choking them, Dubya???
