Resurrection

At daybreak on the first day of the week they took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb; but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

While they were puzzling over this, behold, two men in dazzling garments appeared to them. They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground.

They said to them, "Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day."

--Luke 24:1-6

And so began the march of Christianity. The joy brought from the good news of Easter is unspeakable-- just to know that He is with us and always will be.

Still... it is on days such as this that we must remember those for whom Christ's love and mercy are most needed. So while also celebrating the Easter joy, I choose to think today of the poor, the disabled, the oppressed, and, most especially, the babies who never had a chance.

Even as we smile to heaven in thanks for the miracle of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, we must ask God to help us in our most imperative mission of ending the horror of abortion.

Smiling horror strikes...
~~ Choice ~~
change has come to help...
~~ Choice ~~
unthinkable thoughts being forced out...
~~ Choice ~~
more tiny hearts stopped cold...
~~ Choice ~~
more maturing limbs ripped asunder...
~~ Choice ~~
more growing personalities destroyed...
~~ Choice ~~
more silent screams thrown at cold ears...
~~ Choice ~~
saints and angels cry against it...
~~ Choice ~~
innocence has no champion against the monsters...
~~ Choice ~~
hope seems as cold and dead as the babies...

Thank God for...
~~ Choice ~~

May God bless and keep all of you.

Great post! It would be great if we would all make the correct choices, but God gave us freedom. It's up to us to chose wisely, or pay the consequence.

Hope you had a blessed Resurrection Day.
