New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Moves To Dallas
[[ New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin greeted President Bush when he arrived in Louisiana last night, and was at his side as he fielded questions on the Katrina relief efforts this morning. That quality time with the president, however, marks the mayor's first visit to the disaster area since Wednesday when Nagin pulled up stakes and moved his family to Dallas. The Dallas Morning News reports that Nagin has already bought a house in the city, and enrolled his daughter in school. ]]
I know what you're thinking: He bought a house in Dallas?? What the hell????? Good Lord, he has completely abandoned his people and his city! He hasn't been seen in New Orleans in almost a week!! Surely the media will rip him to shreds over this!
[[ When the Mayor appeared on "Meet the Press" on Sunday from Dallas, he was never asked about his presence there, or his decision to move his family. ]]
Did you get that? He appeared on the show FROM DALLAS... and they did not ask him anything about it. Not even curious.

I can see him moving his family for awhile, until they can get New Orleans cleaned up. But, buying a house in Dallas? Around here, you have to live in the city/town for which you are mayor? Is it different in New Orleans?
And, why can't he get his lazy SELF down there and help in the clean up?
