Nope. No Corruption In Louisiana.

Hmmm... maybe Rove did this, too...?

Louisiana Officials Indicted Before Katrina Hit

[[ Senior officials in Louisiana's emergency planning agency already were awaiting trial over allegations stemming from a federal investigation into waste, mismanagement and missing funds when Hurricane Katrina struck.

And federal auditors are still trying to track as much as $60 million in unaccounted for funds that were funneled to the state from the Federal Emergency Management Agency dating back to 1998.

In March, FEMA demanded that Louisiana repay $30.4 million to the federal government.

The problems are particularly worrisome, federal officials said, because they involve the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the agency that will administer much of the billions in federal aid anticipated for victims of Katrina.
]]

It is noteworthy that it is the la times reporting this. They join all of the people who were victims of the hurricane and the vast number of Americans who say that it is the city and state that are corrupt and at fault for much of the problem.

Fortunately, we still have hollywood, keith olberman, the new (old) york times, and the democrat politicians to remind us that it is really Bush's failure. It doesn't matter it it's true... it's like trying to tell them that jesse jackson and al sharpton are racists.

It just bounces off of their BDS armor.

Well, maybe it would have worked had we insisted they play by the same rules as the rest of our states...

Can't really blame them for doing what they want, if no one ever stopped them, right?

Gosh! I thought the French still owned them. (grin)

Oh, I forgot, they have Senator Mary Landeau ......she's not french, is she? Did you hear her speech on the floor of the Senate? Do you think she hates Bush? :)

I'm in a 'sarcasm' mood tonight; can't you tell? :)
