HELP US!

You’ve seen what we’ve done with $32,000. We’re putting on a rally that would cost five times that if we hired it to be put together by professionals. Our Johnstown volunteers--aided and abetted by webmaster, coordinator, and VVFT staff—have accomplished a miracle.

The Boot Murtha Rally is happening on Sunday!

What happens after the rally, however, depends on the mother’s milk of politics—MONEY! Murtha’s campaign has $3.5 million to spend. Our $32,000 is a pittance by comparison, but look what we’ve done with it!

Our website at www.bootmurtha.com is a marvel, and it is having a great effect on voters’ attitudes in Pennsylvania . That’s almost our only weapon at the moment, and we need to add others to our arsenal.

If we had $100,000, we could bounce Murtha’s rotund posterior all over his district. We KNOW what we have to buy—billboards, broadcast media, printed media—but we don’t have what it takes.

PS: Have you heard? Murtha’s rally on September 30th is bringing in a former US senator, Max Cleland, and a retired four-star Army general, Wesley Clark, to tell lies about Murtha’s love for his country and how he is being swiftboated by us unappreciative malcontents. And rumor has it that Murtha is bringing BUSLOADS of bought-and-paid-for supporters to Johnstown . We can counter this effort, but we need everyone to pitch in.
