Here's The Problem

Okay, so the democrats are squirming in orgiastic glee as they lynch Tom DeLay with a phony attack. They are also issuing scathing and blistering assaults on Republican response to the hurricanes... and trying to get traction with accusing Republicans of a "culture of corruption"...
...enter Governor Blanco from Louisiana- coming to Capital Hill to appear before the Senate. Time to follow up on the accusations that Mr. Brown made the previous day, right?
Wrong.
[[ Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, blamed by the former leader of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and New Orleans Mayor C. Ray Nagin for many of the city's post-hurricane problems, was given no questions about her response to Hurricane Katrina when she appeared before a Senate committee to plead for more federal money.
She asked not to be questioned about it and the senators agreed. ]]
Governor Blanco Not Questioned About Katrina Response
"...the senators agreed..." Oh, I get it now: Republicans bad, democrats good... and no one can question democrats about anything, but they can attack Republicans about everything.
I'm guessing it went down something like this:
Senator: "Governor Blanco, there is very credible evidence that your administration has badly mismanaged virtually everything imaginable in your state- which has resulted in the ugly state of affairs that we now see in..."
Blanco: "Umm, excuse me, Senator... I believe that I asked to not be questioned about this."
Senator: "Oh, that's right. My bad. Here's the money."
Sounds fair to me.
