Well, Now It's Official

-
All the World's Ills Now Officially Bush's Fault

You know... this is one of those columns that is much deeper than its satirical premise might suggest. There are almost no boundaries to Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS).

I just watched Bill O'Reilly interview Representative Charley Rangel (MB-New York). The focus was on the Congressman's comparison of President Bush to Bull Connor- the bigoted police chief from the south in the 60's who turned fire hoses and dogs on black civil rights marchers.

It was absolutely surreal. Rangel kept saying that Bush hates blacks and poor people, and the same old tired litany of crap that we always hear... "centuries of oppression..." etc. And, of course, how the poor blacks in New Orleans were in such trouble because of Bush- and how the President has done nothing for poor people. Nothing at all.

O'Reilly lambasted Rangel with actual facts and actual figures which proved, unquestionably, that President Bush has spent MUCH more money on "poverty" than did Clinton... and that the poverty rate was actually DOWN over one percent from when Clinton was in office. These were indisputable... well, that is to say that they were indisputable to anyone who was not impervious to truth.

Rangel the moron, though, just kept saying the same things, over and over... that the figures and facts were not true- it was all a lie- Bush hates them all, etc. It was the most vivid example of "nyah, nyah, nyah- I can't hear you!!" that I have seen in some time.

So... there it is. Polarization is complete and all the world's ills are totally and completely the fault of President George W. Bush- who is, at once, stupid but cunning... and incompetent while being an evil-mastermind.

You just can't make up this stuff...

Heh ... why not. After all, "Memogate" was false but accurate, right ...?
