Well, this isn't going to sit well with those who want desperately to blame the federal government for everything. Apparently, the vast majority of states want the feds to stay the hell out of their business- even disaster business. This state-first approach, staunchly insisted upon by our Founding Fathers, is one of the foundations of our freedoms in America.

Hmmm... maybe if the federal government took over and gave responsibility for everything to the Pentagon, then things would be better. This was actually presented as a "plan." Now, the governors of the states are responding to this half-brained idea that the administration came out with to deal with the criticism following Katrina.
