Bravo Zulu To These Ladies!

Well, at least a foreign news source thought this was worthy of reporting. Imagine if clinton were still in power- the headlines here would be all about how he "empowers" women.
Am getting very sick of the extreme hypocrisy.
My favorite quote from one of the ladies is this:
[[ “I always wanted to be part of something bigger than me. It didn’t matter if it was a brotherhood or a sisterhood.” ]]
Imagine that... actually thinking that there is something bigger than one's own self.
Twin Sisters Show How Far Women Have Come

1 Comments:
It is interesting to see the differences between these two sisters and what a modern feminist would call an "enlightened sister."
They are:
1) Heterosexual
2) Warriors who proudly defend the nation of their birth, rather than burn stars-and-stripes colored bras
3) Full of meaningful purpose, rather than whining about being "oppressed by the patriarchy"
4) QUITE able to open up a big ol' can of Whoopass on their own, rather than just talking about it (Admit it, Gunny---you kinda wish they were Teufelhunden, hunh???)
saj: "I don't think women have any business being in combat unless they can pass the same rigorous physical tests that the men do."
I agree with you to a point, but there must be some understanding and modifications made.
The physical strength of women is often as great as that of a man, yet it is centered differently. Men tend to have their strength centered in their upper body, whereas women tend to be stronger in the center and in the legs (remember the powerful legs of Florence Griffith Joyner?). So, while I do not think standards should be lowered, I do think standards that recognize some basic biology should be realized.
Personally, I think having women in combat is pretty cool, especially when hunting Koranimals. To a mujahdi, there is probabaly NOTHING more humiliating than getting capped or captured by a woman. Maybe Rush was right when he suggested creating a PMS Brigade back in '91. :)
