This Is Most Probably True

Qatar Says Oil Would Drop $15 Per Barrel If Politicians Would Just Shut-Up

Yeah... and it would be dark all the time if the sun quit shining...

...neither will happen, by the way.

Pomoze Bog.

Is anyone else outraged by the fact that many leading Republicans are joining the anti-market Liberals in calling for the government to "do something" about the price of oil? The last I heard, the GOP was supposed to be relatively Free Market---isn't that what NAFTA and trade agreements with the ChiComs are supposed to be all about?

One of the chief problems with the US (and the world) economy is TOO MUCH government involvement and artificial control. As the Austrian School has shown (von Mises, Hayek, et al) the economy is very self-regulating IF IT IS LEFT ALONE BY GOVERNMENTS. The more meddling and control, the less efficient and self-controlling it becomes---and that includes excessive taxation of the commodity in question. Couple economic engineering with ruinous environ-mental policy, and the stage is set for the current price upheavels in the petroleum market.

I'm really pissed at Dubyah about this one. As an "awl man" he ought to know better than to consider price controls or punitive taxes. Hell, if he's going to go that way he might as well call himself a Democrat.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr..... >:(

Ann Coulter's latest on the gasloine "crisis" is absolutely hilarious! She actually calls Al Gore "a double-talking stuffed shirt who seemed kind of gay." ROFLMAO :P
