I'm sure the aclu is already involved... somehow... somewhere. You see, whenever America is under attack- you can bet the aclu is around.

As an advisory committee member of the Veterans Day Parade of Milwaukee, Inc., I just have to say thanks for your post. The parade isn't about politics - it's about honoring those who give us freedom. The Vets for Peace organization is entitled to their views, of course. In fact, they were invited to march in the parade as VETERANS...just not under the banner of their political organization.
I can only say that when they presented their "cause" at our meeting by saying their purpose was to "educate society about the craziness of war", it pretty much sealed their fate. That's a political viewpoint and on this Day of Honor for our veterans, we're not a red state or a blue state, for or against the war - (we all have various views) but on Parade Day, we're all just red, white and blue!
