One Shot...

...one kill.
Here is a good article on Lance Corporal Galen Wilson, a young Marine deep in the fight.
[[ During a large-scale attack on Easter Sunday, Wilson says, he spotted six gunmen on a rooftop about 400 yards away. In about 8 seconds he squeezed off five rounds — hitting five gunmen in the head. The sixth man dived off a 3-story building just as Wilson got him in his sights, and counts as a probable death. ]]
Extraordinary. That is uncommon skill, coupled with uncommon grit.
Read it all... this is what America has that no other nation can claim. Hardened and highly skilled young men, protecting their country from the evil that seeks to eradicate us.

It is striking how you and I can read about this amazing Marine and be grateful for his service- and others can find a whole different spin on it. Here is the reaction of the so-called democratic underground:

Good Job,Wilson!
i was in that regiment once upon a time,

my call sign in RVN was;

my first look through a starlight scope was on the west side of hill 55 where Charlie company was.

breathe-relax-aim-slack-squeeze,
watch the target drop to it's knees.
Rule #1: Never mess with a U.S. Marine,
Rule #2: If you forget 'Rule #1' you won't live long enough to regret it...Ooo-Rah!
How soon people seem to forget incidents such as the UT Clocktower sniper, and the JFK assasination...both were trained as Marines. A Marine literally wrote the book on being a sniper ("One Shot, One Kill"). Love them or hate 'em, they are the best shots in the world.
Semper Fi, L/Cpl Wilson...carry on!
As for all of those worthless pukes at the Democtatic Underground: I hope Osama never takes any of you hostage. The U.S. Marine Corps may be on "vacation" that day. Hmmmmm....something to think about, DIRT-BAGS! LMAO!
