Hey, that pizza's still good!

I really don't like "environmentalists." To me, the "ist" means "agenda." Enviromentalists use ploys and scare tactics to guilt people into believing whatever they say. It's mean. They're bullies and since people are basically good-hearted, they buy their bologna and end up feeling unnecessarily guilty. My friend brought up recycling in class today and it resurfaced an old sore spot I have. Basically, recycling is waaaayyyy over-rated (shocking, I know!) and landfills are unfailry and quite grossly stereotyped. (Get it, gross....)
This particular article was published in the New York Times in 1996 by a journalist named John Tierney. He does a nice job digging through all the environmental and political crap that gets associated with trash. (Get it, digging...through crap...)

Recycling Is Garbage

Rinsing out tuna cans and tying up newspapers may make you feel virtuous, but recycling could be America's most wasteful activity.

This article is very interesting and full of great anti-recycling facts.
