Hmmm... Now There's An Idea

-
Let's see... the media in the country is behaving extremely irresponsibly. They are presenting the "news" in ways that twist and distort it to fit their world view. They are blatantly avoiding telling both sides of the stories. They are causing people to react to their biased reporting... often to the point of violence.

What do you do if you're the leader of the country?

Well, if the country is America, then you will probably do nothing... and continue to let the media get away with it.

If you are in the newest Democracy in the world, though, you might do something different.

[[ Iraq's prime minister warned television stations Wednesday against broadcasting reports that incite violence, saying he will not hesitate to shut them down. ]]

You mean, a leader is going to take steps to prevent vile conduct of the media? Wow... why didn't we think of that?

Here's the whole thing:

Thank God for the "Fair and Balanced" format of Fox News Channel! I don't read newspapers, or watch any other news format for national and international news because of their obvious left-wing slant(s). The Iraqi PM has the right idea; too bad the Kurds in the north don't seem to "get it", or care to. Sadly we can't shut-down the New York Times (et.al.)! Or can we? Aren't "cidition" and "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" capitol offenses? Last I knew they were! Why aren't these people in jail for treason? Not only do the writers, editors that made them public need to be charged, but the individuals that "leaked" all of the classified info that was published for all the world to see! FDR and Truman wouldn't have tollerated any of this by anyone...and they were DEMOCRATS, the last I knew! Teddy Roosevelt probably would have used his "big stick" to shut those Loose Lips for good. President Bush needs to do somthing about the madness if he really expects to protect us.
