Tsar's Roundup

-
Time once again to take a trip around this wacky world with our intrepid tour guide, Tsar Lazar. Tonight's episode is heavy with niceties from the religion of peace. Enjoy!

-1- It seems the Shi’ite government in Iran means to guard the youth from the excesses of rock n’ roll. The funny thing is, I find myself agreeing with some of their objections to it…

-2- If you go to this website and scroll down to where it says “Update: video is here,” you will see the latest infotoon from Planned Parenthood. Apparently, it has been pulled for “advocating violence against pro-lifers.” It would be hilarious if it weren’t defending murder….

-3- Good news from Australia: it seems the Aussies have found a deep well of testosterone. Maybe they can sell some to our own government, so that we can “read the riot act” to Islam in the same way…

-4- Pakistan has decided to register all of the radical madrassas in their midst “despite opposition from hardline clerics.”

-5- Not surprisingly, a pro-Screamin’ Sheehan editorial has appeared in one of the world’s most entertaining dailies, the Arab News. What would we do without them? Their comments on the MSM in the US show such an utter cluelessness, it boggles the mind:

While the clichéd understanding of the media’s role in the US is that it is an open, unhindered and evenly representative forum, the sad, albeit unsurprising truth is that the US mainstream media has always been a one-sided, drum-beating, chest-pounding, war-mongering medium where self-serving politicians and businessmen often come together in sinful matrimony.

Wherever they get their newspapers, I wish I could find the same ones….

-6- And another homage to Sheehan in the Palestine Chronicle:

-7- Well, here’s a mighty big shocker---the PA won’t disarm mujahadeen in their midst:

-8- From our good Muslim brethren at Arab News comes the Saudi version of Anne Landers, explaining how to keep the “little woman” at home with her mouth firmly shut. Note the prevarication in re ‘explaining the real meaning of the text’:

-9- From the Khaleej Times comes another fantasy about the peacefulness of Islam:

-10- Arthur Chrenkoff has a superb commentary about the West and Islam at his blog:

-11- And the fetching Michelle Malkin has a great bit of information titled “The Demographics of Caliphacism”:

-12- I don’t know if you follow the postings of Yoni---he is a conservative Israeli running for a seat in the Knesset, and his comments on current events in re Israel and Palestine are always “the goods,” as my grandfather used to say:

-13- More good news for Iranian women: now they’re getting their own park. FEMINISTS REJOICE!!

-14- Here we have an episode of “Sharia Law & Order,” only in the Iranian version the cops crack more than wise.
In the original videotapes, the woman is seen limping very badly and is in obvious pain. The man (her husband) gets beaten pretty badly, and is causally smacked once in a while just for the fun of it. He is a minor official and the two were accused of smuggling documents to “the Zionists” and the CIA. Actually, they were simply involved in some democracy demonstrations. Towards the end, the woman is told that she will admit everything they want her to admit after she is flogged. But of course, we know how much Muhammad and the Caliphs respected women and allowed them so many rights…

Bastards. This stuff isn’t easy to watch, even if it’s mild by torture standards.

-15- And finally, some general observations and predictions on the re-creation of Iran as a feminist Eden:
