Media Bias?? No Way!

-
The inimitable Dr. Thomas Sowell gives us another very insightful commentary- this time on the wonders of the modern media.

[[ The same newspapers and television news programs that are constantly reminding us that some people under indictment "are innocent until proven guilty" are nevertheless hyping the story of American troops accused of rape in Iraq, day in and day out, even though these troops have yet to be proven guilty of anything. ]]

Biased Reporting

Please read the whole thing.

Gunny, Don't mean to bum you out, but I couldn't find the article by Dr. Thomas Sowell, or anything with his name on it. There was a commentary by Larry Elder titled "Media Bias on Full Display" Re: Supreme Court ruling on Gitmo detainees and their "legal rights" under the Geneva Convention, etc.(BARF!) Is the article at TownHall.com, and I'm blind or what? lol

I read this in the Virginian-Pilot and, once again, Sowell writes a winner!

Amen to that! These newspapers and TV networks claim they "support the troops", but at a moments notice, they'll turn on them like a rabid dog. Where IS the coverage of our bravest of the brave, being recognized for their heroism and valor? Even FNC seems to drop the ball, yet overall they do a much better job than any other media outlet I'm aware of. Can't vouch for anyone else, but Fox News covered the detention of about 6 Marines at Camp Pendelton without being charged with a crime. That was BEFORE the charges were filed and made public. FNC made a HUGE deal about that!

By the way: You're welcome, Gunny. I suffer from CRS too; don't feel bad about it. Happens to the best of us...lol.
