Them vs. Us (Still)

-
As the bombs and rockets fly in Lebanon and Israel, the world is taking sides... very predictably- with the usual suspects (France, the United Nations, etc.) condemning Israel for defending itself (HERE)... and the usual enemies of America and freedom lashing out at us again (HERE). You know the story.

What needs to be happening is proper airing of the truth... you know, the truth that this is not just a Jewish/Arab thing. The truth that this is the very center of the islamofascist war against civilized humanity.

William Kristol has a great column in the Weekly Standard (HERE) that points out how this is "our war," too. There is no doubting this. Whether or not you want to admit it, the bad-guy side of the world- and the majority of the brainwashed islamic public- sees this as the "Zionists and America" attacking islam.

Anyway, in reading all of this stuff lately... in thinking and trying to understand the hows and whys of it all... I made a simple observation that was completely obvious, but the true scope of which had escaped me before: They don't care about human life. Not their own, or ours, or anyone else's. I know that we all "knew" this before... but it really hit home for me in epiphany-like fashion recently.

Consider this: in the "West," when there is a tragedy, or a terrorist attack, the victims matter. As individuals- as human beings... we honor them, we weep for them, we build monuments to them. In short, it really, REALLY hits home to us when a human being dies- especially when it is unnecessary or "unfair."

Over there, though, this is not the case. Oh, I know that individual families/relatives are very sad when one of their own dies... but as a society/culture, the islamic world does not react as we do to the death of their people. In fact, they actually embrace and call for their own peoples' death- so long as it is in a "holy cause." This is indisputable.

Just consider, for an example, London's somber remembrance of the 7/7 attacks. Fifty-two people were killed in that filthy-terrorist action. Fifty-two. To us, that is an incredible tragedy. These were people who were literally minding their own business... and were killed because they were in a convenient place at the time. We cry for them... for their children... for the wasted potential of what they might have been and done. In our culture, every single person matters. In every child, there is the potential to be a great scientist, or explorer, or doctor, or writer, and on... to our very core, we hate that their light was prematurely extinguished. We hold respectful ceremonies to honor them... we read their names out loud, one at a time (HERE). We miss them and we feel the loss deeply as a culture.

In fact, we are saddened and moved to action, even when tragedy strikes other parts of the world: tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, famines, etc. We cry for the victims, we send help- money, equipment, personnel... we feel their pain and their loss and we desperately want to help. We absolutely hate random, unnecessary, unfair, premature loss of life ANYWHERE.

Not so in most of the islamic world. Practicing members of that "religion" are, right now, killing as many people as they possibly can- including not just the above mentioned London victims, but also lots and lots of their fellow muslims. As we sit here, muslims and others are being murdered- often times very brutally- in the name of a god.

To the majority of the brainwashed masses of islam, to die for allah is to enter heaven immediately... and the more "evil" people you kill in the process, the better for you. You know... "martyrs." As Barry Rubin puts it in this excellent piece (HERE) on palestinian/muslim suicide culture, their celebration of "martyrs" simply means bragging about their own casualties. That is a sociology doctoral thesis in itself.

Please understand that we- all non-muslims- are the targets of this "martyrdom" campaign... and we always will be. Until we convert or die, this will not change. This, too, is indisputable.

Essentially and fundamentally, it comes straight down to their culture of death vs our culture of life.

We celebrate individuals and their potential to contribute, build, love... exist. We remember and honor their life.

They celebrate only the death of an individual, and how valuable that death was depends entirely upon how many of us were also killed. Please let that sink in... how sobering is it?

Many are now asking if this is the start of World War III. Make no mistakes about it: World War III started in 1979 when the islamofascists were thrust into power by a weak America letting them take the world stage by seizing and holding our embassy for over a year.

The muslims know that this is World War III... and they embrace it. We are going to lose it- and lose our very existence- unless more of us wake-up and see the truth.

So... saddle up- it really is "our war," too.

Like you, Gunny, I thought I had a complete understanding of the islamofascist psyche! VERY nice epiphany...it makes a LOT more sense now, than it did before.
World War III though, has become a universally generic term for "nuclear war", and we're not there...YET. Do I see it coming? Yes. If we (either as a nation, alone, or the world as a whole) continue the present course (dragging our feet) than it WILL happen. The only question is this: Who will start it? North Korea? Iran? Hezballah? Israel?
Look at the history of what the term "World War III" has always ment. It was feared that the Korean War would escelate into a nuclear war ("Thank you, China"); the Cuban Missile Crisis came even closer to becoming the nuclear nightmare come true. The Cold War in general was thought to end only with the deployment of ICBMs, and no other way for decades. Thankfully Reagan and Gorbichov ended that "war" in 1989. I don't see the threats that Iran and the DPRK pose to the U.S. and the rest of the world being solved w/o pre-emptively striking these regimes fast and hard, militarilly. We are still at a state-of-war with the PDRK; have been since 1953. We only signed a "cease-fire agreement". Neither side sued for peace.
Iran has been asking for it since 1979. Hijacking civil airliners and/or blowing them up, funding other terrorist orgs. that have actively targeted westerners, and "zionists", etc., etc.
I say "screw the U.N., the French, and anyone who'll 'shun' us, and let's Wipe-Them-Out before it's too late! Armaggedon, be damned!"
